Random Art & KindnessPostcard Project

Terms

Terms of sale

These are the simple terms for buying a card from Random Art & Kindness. By placing an order, you agree to them.

What you are buying

Each card is made by hand by me, with a kindness written on the back in my own hand. What a card costs, the postage, and the ways a card can be sent are set out on Send a card and in Questions. The total is shown before you pay.

How long it takes

It may take a day or two for me to send the card, and then however long the mail takes. There are some steps I need to take before the card is actually mailed, including writing the kindness, taking a picture of it and putting it on the website.

Refunds

If you change your mind before I have written your card, write to me and I will refund you in full. Once the kindness is written on the card and addressed, it has been made for you and cannot be sold again, so I cannot give a refund after that point.

If for any reason I cannot send the card you chose, I will tell you, and you can either choose another card or I will refund you in full.

Lost mail

Occasionally a letter or postcard is lost in the mail. Unfortunately, I cannot promise delivery, or a refund for a card the post office loses. These days the mail can also be slower to arrive.

If you sent a card to a stranger, there is no way to know whether they received it unless they leave a note on the card’s page. If you sent a card to someone you know and it has not arrived after a few weeks, please let me know through Leave a general comment. I cannot promise a replacement, but I will do what I can.

Payment

Payments are handled by Stripe. I never see or keep your card details.

Your information

What I keep about you, and when it is deleted, is set out on the Privacy page.

Changes to these terms

I may update these terms now and then. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to it.
